The Challenge

Develop a super-fun, magazine-style, highly educational romp through the crucial curriculum for 3rd Grade Math and 4th Grade Science. These projects were behind schedule and floundering when I was asked to take over as Senior Producer.

The Result

Two exceptional interactive books for the Quantum Pad platform. Several pages in our books were selected for the The Best of LeapFrog presentation and the LeapFrog LAM Library (a special archive of excellent innovative designs).

Some 3rd Grade Math Topics: See which monster ate the most slime. Divide up the bugs into jars (basic long division). Spin the wheel of probability. Graph the chicken's, pig's, alien's, nose's, and opera singer's performances in the talent show. Play Power of 10, the estimation game show. And many more...

Some 4th Grade Science topics: Make the Weather using a barometer, thermometer, and anemometer - see what you can whip up! There's been a death in the forest - who was the predator and who was the prey? Follow the lightning maze from the sky through conductors to the ground through a pile of junk. Fix the space station by hopping only on magnetic items to get from one part of the space station to another. And many more...

And we brought the books in on time, too!
